I have been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis. It is idiopathic, or as I prefer to call it, idiotic. I am not some loser alcoholic that brought this on myself. Mine is also not caused by gallbladder disease or dysfunction. I do not have a gallbladder. It was removed several years ago because it was not emptying properly, but I never had any stones and did not suffer from pancreatitis at that time. I am writing this for myself in hopes of figuring out why this is happening and how to cure the problem. I have been treated at different hospitals, including the Mayo Clinic & Mayo Hospital. So far, nobody (including specialists) has been able to give me any better answers than my regular doctor has. I have had CT scans, MRIs MRCP, ERCPS, a gastric emptying study, and numerous other tests. I think my insurance company is not very fond of me. :)
